Tristar offers preventative maintenance plans to identify and correct potential problems before a crisis occurs for all legacy and new BDFB that supply your critical telecom system.
BDFB provides continuous power that telecommunications applications require for redundant configurations, with multiple voltages, load buses, and fuse options.
The BDFB bays contain several fuse blocks or circuit breakers, internal or external return bars, and several breakers and load positions. Many BDFB panels feature an alarm circuit with three form C contacts for fuse/breaker failure, and two form C contacts for panel power loss.
During preventive maintenance, our field service engineers perform a complete check on the fuse blocks, circuit breakers, bars, and other assemblies, using a fluke clamp meter, fluke RMS meter, and infrared camera (optional service) or an infrared gun, in order to identify any hot spots or overheating due to a load imbalance or loose connections.
The preventive maintenance results are recorded, reviewed and reported to our customers for further action.
